Life Cover (or Term Life) is a life insurance policy offered by U for Life that provides up to RM500,000 in cash in the event of your death. It paves the financial future for those you leave behind.
We all dream of creating a secure financial future for our families. A Life Cover policy can help make that dream comes true, even if you're not around.
Life Cover pays a lump sum benefit if the insured person dies or is diagnosed with a terminal illness, where the insured person's life expectancy is less than 12 months. Life Cover covers all causes of death except for suicide or intentional self-injury in the first 13 months.

Our Life Cover policy also includes the option to purchase a Critical Illness additional benefit. Adding this benefit to your life insurance (term life) policy means that if you suffer a critical illness and carry on living, we'll advance you the first 25% of your life cover as an early payment. This type of benefit is typically known as a trauma rider, or serious illness rider or critical illness rider.
The critical illnesses covered under this add-on include cancer, heart attack, stroke, open heart surgery. The definitions for these critical illnesses are set out in our product disclosure statement:
If you have a family or other financial dependants to take care of, then Life Cover is for you. Especially when there's a home loan, education costs for your children or other debts to cover.
If you're the family breadwinner, your family relies on your income. Term Life can help make sure your family's home and lifestyle are secure if something happens to you.
Life Cover isn't just for people in the paid workforce. Losing the family homemaker can be equally devastating - and often just as expensive as losing the main income earner. Life insurance can help to take care of the cost of cleaning, child care and other household expenses if the worst happens.
And of course, if your family has two working partners, the loss of either partner could have a disastrous impact on the household budget. That's why it can be important to cover both partners living in a household under a joint life insurance policy.
Life cover pays cash in the event of death and total and permanent disability from both natural and accidental causes. It paves the financial future for those you leave behind.
